Silky soft material, not itchy at all. My son sometimes bothered by seams. Runs a little large (son is 6 years old, 50 pounds, and the size small has a relaxed fit that works well now with a baggier, relaxed fit). Print is bright and vivid and "cool" according to my son. I love that it is UPF50+ and that it has a hood. My son loves the hood too!
